Employee Assistance Program

RDA committee members, staff and their immediate families have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). From 1 July 2026 these services are delivered by Converge.

What is the EAP?

The EAP offers free, professional and confidential counselling sessions and can assist with work and personal issues including:

  • Employee support
  • Family support
  • Manager support
  • Career coaching
  • Neurodiversity support
  • Conflict support
  • Financial coaching
  • Nutrition and lifestyle support.

The EAP services are designed to provide short-term assistance. You, or your immediate family member, can access up to 15 sessions for this financial year.

How do I access EAP services?

Call Converge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 687 327 to schedule an appointment.

Book online

You can book an appointment via the online portal. Information regarding how to access to the online portal is provided by your RDA, or by contacting your RDA Liaison Officer via rda@infrastructure.gov.au.

NB: Please note there are long initial loading times on the website, but once registered users will have access to a variety of content, including: 

  • Advice on how to book an appointment
  • Resources including tipsheets
  • Manager resources
  • Articles
  • Podcasts

The EAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer or the department, will know that you have used the program unless you choose to tell them.
