RDA comments invited on a National University Precincts Strategy to boost industry-research collaboration
11 July 2017
RDA Brisbane is represented on the University Precincts Advisory Committee, which has been established to provide advice to the Government to further improve industry-research collaboration and drive Australia's productivity. Chaired by Dr Charles Day, CEO of Innovation and Science Australia, the Committee's advice will be informed by research and consultation.
The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science has developed a University Precincts issues paper to guide consultations and gauge the need for/possible content of a National University Precincts Strategy. It is envisaged that a national strategy could also support Government policy agendas such as the National Innovation and Science Agenda and the Cities Agenda.
RDAs are invited to respond with any comments or submissions to the issues raised on page 7 of the paper, 'Seeking your views on the need for a strategy', via email to PrecinctsCommittee@industry.gov.au by Close of Business Monday 31 July 2017.
