Riverland marks the spot for premium food, wine, and tourism
02 September 2016
Premium food, wine, and tourism experiences in Riverland will now be identified through the Riverland Trust Mark, an initiative of RDA Murraylands and Riverland (SA), Destination Riverland, and Riverland Wine.
The Riverland Trust Mark, a visual symbol designed to establish a consistent identity for Riverland products and services, will enable the region to promote and profile the range of premium quality food, wine, and tourism businesses in the region.
Officially launched on 22 June 2016, the Riverland Trust Mark is the outcome of a 9-month project stemming from RDA Murraylands and Riverland's successful application to the South Australian Government ‘Supporting Brands of our Key Region's’ grants programme.
The launch event (with over 60 regional guests) culminated with the awarding of foundation member honours to twelve local businesses who have shown exceptional commitment to excellence, and who could demonstrate the achievement of the Riverland Trust Mark's pillars of Quality, Origin and Environment.
These foundation members will be key to promoting and demonstrating the program's values and identity to the wider community as they will be entrusted to use the Riverland Trust Mark on their products, services and tourism experiences.
RDA Murraylands and Riverland Chief Executive, Jo Podoliak said, “the aim of the project was to develop an identity for the Riverland region that was synonymous with premium quality food, wine and tourism. We have a number of local businesses who are committed to delivering high quality food, beverage and tourism experiences and this project enables us to clearly define them and provide a collaborated approach to marketing to achieve higher returns.”
