NSW Regional Development Australia Cities Alliance inaugural meeting

The inaugural NSW Cities Alliance meeting between RDA Hunter, RDA Central Coast, RDA Sydney and RDA Illawarra was held on 5 August 2019 to explore linkages and areas for economic opportunities to be strengthened between Newcastle, Central Coast, Sydney and Wollongong.

The four RDAs plan to collaborate around areas of common interest and get collective outcomes to further their combined regions. Proposed joint initiatives include progressing the Sandstone Mega-region report and a unified approach to support and inform infrastructure priorities throughout their regions.

The NSW RDA Cities Alliance recognise the strength and potential of working together as a mega-region to compete as an economic powerhouse and support the sustainability of their region.
