RDA Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday (RDA MIW) are collaborating with producers in the region to identify both new and existing markets and export opportunities in horticulture for the region.

RDA MIW in partnership with Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3), North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP), Bowen Gumlu Growers Association and the Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australian (CRCNA), will develop an agribusiness Export Supply Chain Mapping Study.

The $215,000 Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday agribusiness Export Supply Chain Mapping Study will examine how local and international supply chains will need to be developed, enhanced or supported to overcome market access barriers and deliver agri-food export produce and agri-food waste products to market.

The study is the first of its kind in the region and the final report will be completed by late 2019.
