Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sydney and Economic Development Australia (EDA) are hosting a full-day, interactive workshop on Friday, 28 September at Western Sydney University, Parramatta from 9.30am.

The full day workshop is the first of its kind to be held in Sydney and features some of the leading economic development experts from across the country.  This workshop has proven highly successful in other states.

Renowned economist Nicki Hutley is MC for the day and will bring her expertise gained over nearly three decades of practice to the discussions.  Nicki, who regularly appears on ABC’s The Drum and Sky Business takes a triple bottom line approach, to ensure social and environmental considerations are captured alongside economic and financial returns.

The discussions and panels will cover:

  • What do the best economic development strategies in Australia look like?
  • How do we develop a winning economic development strategy with achievable outcomes?
  • What kind of data should we use and how?
  • How can we win the hearts and minds of decision-makers to support our economic development strategies?
