RDA arrangements in Queensland

RDA in Queensland is a partnership between the Australian and Queensland Governments.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 14 May 2009 by then Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development and the Northern Territory, the Hon Gary Gray MP, and Queensland Premier, the Hon Anna Bligh MP.

The Australian and Queensland Governments agreed to form a network of 12 RDA committees. Where possible, RDA committees are co-located with the Queensland Government's Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation Regional Centres. Co-location encourages strong linkages between RDA committees and the Queensland Government. All RDA committees in Queensland are incorporated under the Queensland Associations Incorporated Act (1981).
