RDA arrangements in ACT
RDA in the ACT is a partnership between the Australian and ACT Governments.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing RDA in the ACT was signed on 25 May 2009 by then Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development and the Northern Territory, the Hon Gary Gray MP, and the ACT Chief Minister, Jon Stanhope MLA.

The Australian and ACT Governments agreed to form one RDA committee to service the ACT. RDA ACT is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act (1991) and is supported by funding from both the Australian and ACT Governments.
RDA committee membership in ACT
The RDA ACT committee comprises of 10 members, appointed by the Australian Government minister and the Australian Capital Territory Chief Minister. The committee comprises of a Chair, a Deputy Chair and eight committee members, who have experience or expertise across the economic, social and environmental sectors affecting the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region.
Applications for committee membership was obtained through an open Expression of Interest (EOI) process. Applications for this appointment process has now closed. Members of the public are able to express their interest in future casual vacancies on the RDA ACT Committee - please see Working with RDA.
