Chairs and Deputy Chairs Meeting with Parliamentary Secretary McKew and Minister Mulherin

The Chairs and Deputy Chairs of the Queensland RDA Committees attended a meeting on Thursday, 4 March 2010 with the Hon Maxine McKew MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, and the Hon Tim Mulherin MP, Queensland Minister for Primary Industries, Fisheries and Rural and Regional Queensland. Participants discussed the strategic direction of RDA, their roles and responsibilities and the RDA work program. Minister's also outlined their expectations of the RDA Committees.

This meeting followed an Induction Seminar on Thursday, 26 November 2009, which was convened by the Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Queensland Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, and a representative from the Local Government Association of Queensland. Participants discussed RDA operational and governance issues.
